Where to park in Ibiza: area-by-area guide to avoid wasting time
Parking in Ibiza: practical tips for towns, villages and beaches
Parking in Ibiza can be very simple or turn into a waste of time, depending on the area, the time of day and the season. The island is not large, but there are places where it is worth arriving with a clear idea: towns with regulated parking zones, villages with narrow streets, coves with limited access and very popular beaches in summer. So, if you are looking for where to park in Ibiza, this guide will help you organise yourself by area and type of plan, understanding when to choose free parking, when it is worth paying, which areas are best avoided at peak times and how to plan your routes better if you are going to explore Ibiza by car.
And if, as well as parking well, you want to organise your trip better, you can complete this guide with our article on what to see and do in Ibiza, where we bring together beaches, villages, routes, plans and local recommendations to discover the island at a calmer pace.
If you are looking for a comfortable base to get around Ibiza, rest well and have San Antonio close by for dinner, a walk or enjoying the sunset, Hostal Rosell Boutique is a practical, central and peaceful option for organising your trip from the west of the island.

HOW TO PLAN PARKING IN IBIZA PROPERLY BEFORE SETTING OFF
Before choosing a specific car park, it is worth thinking about what type of plan you are going to do: town, village, beach, cove or leisure area. In Ibiza, each journey works differently. In Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia or San Antonio there are usually more options, but also more traffic, regulated parking zones and paid car parks. In villages, it is often better to park before entering the centre and walk a few minutes. At the coves, the main issue is usually the limited access capacity, especially in high season.
That is why, rather than looking for “the perfect car park”, the important thing is to choose well depending on your plan. If you are going for a walk, a meal or to visit a historic area, it may be worth leaving the car in a practical car park and moving around on foot. If you are going to a famous cove, it is best to leave with some extra time and avoid arriving during the busiest hours.
To organise your trip better, you can use our interactive map of Ibiza, where we bring together beaches, villages, parking areas, routes and useful points to plan each outing. And if you want to combine several stops in the same day, our guide to driving routes around Ibiza can also help you.

WHERE TO PARK IN IBIZA’S MAIN TOWNS
Where to park in Ibiza Town
Ibiza Town is one of the areas where it is most important to plan your parking, especially if you are going to the port, La Marina, Dalt Vila or the historic centre. To organise your arrival better, you can check our guide to parking in Ibiza Town and then move around the area on foot, especially in high season.
If your visit focuses on the historic centre, the port or La Marina, the best option is to park with some extra time and explore the area on foot. This way, you will avoid wasting time driving around and enjoy the atmosphere of Ibiza Town much more. If you want to prepare your walking route better, our guide to Dalt Vila in Ibiza can also help you.
If you also want to complete your visit with lunch or dinner, you can take a look at our selection of affordable restaurants in Ibiza Town.
Where to park in Santa Eulalia
Santa Eulalia is a convenient area for walking, eating, visiting the marina or enjoying a relaxed plan by the sea. Before you arrive, it may help to check our guide to parking in Santa Eulalia, especially if you are going to the centre, the seafront promenade, the urban beach or the port.
If you are going to the centre or the promenade, the most practical option is usually to leave the car in an area that allows you to walk, without depending on finding a space right outside the exact place you are heading to. Santa Eulalia invites you to move at a slower pace, so it is often worth parking a little earlier and enjoying the walk.
If you also want to make the most of your visit by eating in the area, you can complete the plan with our guide to affordable restaurants in Santa Eulalia.
Where to park in San Antonio
San Antonio is one of the most practical areas of Ibiza for getting around both on foot and by car. If you want to arrive with more time and avoid driving around looking for a space, you can check our guide to parking in San Antonio, especially useful if you are going to the port, the seafront promenade, restaurants or sunset areas.
During the day, it can be a good base for heading to the western coves or exploring other areas of Ibiza. In the afternoon, however, there is more movement around the promenade, the port and the sunset areas. At those times, the smartest option is usually to park with some extra time and avoid trying to reach the exact spot by car.
And if you want to make the most of the area once you have parked, we recommend our guide on what to do in San Antonio, Ibiza, with beach, sea, restaurant and sunset plans.

WHERE TO PARK IF YOU VISIT IBIZA’S VILLAGES
Ibiza’s villages are much better enjoyed on foot than by trying to park right at the door. In many cases, the most convenient option is to leave the car in an outer area or in a well-located parking spot, walk a few minutes and enter the centre without rushing.
If you are planning an inland route, we recommend checking the interactive map of Ibiza beforehand and combining it with our guide to villages in Ibiza, where you can better choose which stops fit your route.
Santa Gertrudis
Santa Gertrudis is usually visited for a walk, a drink or a meal in the centre. The most convenient option is to leave the car in an outer area and walk a few minutes towards the square, avoiding driving too far into the busiest streets.
Sant Carles
Sant Carles is a common stop on routes through eastern Ibiza, especially if you want to visit Las Dalias or continue towards quieter areas in the north. To visit it calmly, the best option is to leave the car in a well-located spot and explore the village on foot.
Sant Josep
Sant Josep works very well as a stop on the way to the beaches in the west and southwest. If you stop for lunch, a drink or a walk around the centre, the most practical option is to park in a convenient area and avoid the most central streets.
Sant Jordi
Sant Jordi is a useful area if you are heading towards Ses Salines, Es Cavallet, Playa d’en Bossa or the airport. Here, parking has a very practical purpose: leaving the car in a well-located spot and continuing your route without wasting time.
Es Cubells
Es Cubells is a small, peaceful village with very special views. It is best not to drive too far into the centre and to park carefully in a designated area before walking and enjoying the surroundings.
Sant Joan
Sant Joan is a highly recommended stop on routes through northern Ibiza. On market days or during busier periods, it is best to arrive with some extra time, park before entering the centre and explore the village on foot.
WHERE TO PARK IF YOU ARE VISITING MAIN BEACHES AND COVES
At beaches and coves, parking depends much more on the time of day and the season than on the distance. Some have large parking areas, others have regulated access or limited spaces, and in several cases the bus can be a good alternative. For updated timetables, it is always best to check the official transport website before setting off.
If you want to choose better depending on the type of plan, you can find more information in our guide to the best beaches and coves in Ibiza. And if you prefer to plan the day with several stops, you can also use our driving routes around Ibiza.
Ses Salines
Ses Salines is one of the most popular beaches in Ibiza. It is easy to reach by car and usually has a bus connection during the season. The parking in the area is private and normally costs between €7 and €10, so in summer it is best to arrive early to avoid driving around, waiting or finding it full.
Es Cavallet
Es Cavallet is close to Ses Salines and works best if you arrive with some extra time. You can get there by car and, depending on the season, by bus to the nearby area. There is parking, although on busier days it is better not to leave your arrival too late.
Playa d’en Bossa
Playa d’en Bossa is one of the best-connected areas on the island. You can get there by car, taxi or bus from Ibiza Town. There are parking options, but in high season it is best to avoid the busiest times.
Cala Comte
Cala Comte is a classic spot for swimming and watching the sunset. You can get there by car and it usually has bus or boat connections from San Antonio during the season. There is parking, but it can fill up easily at peak times.
Cala Tarida
Cala Tarida is wide, comfortable and a very good option for spending the day. It is easy to reach by car and usually appears on the seasonal bus routes. There are parking areas, although in summer it is best not to arrive too late.
Cala Vedella
Cala Vedella is a comfortable cove for swimming, eating and spending the day without rushing. It is easy to reach by car and may have a bus connection during the season. There is parking in the area, but in summer it may require some patience.
Cala d’Hort
Cala d’Hort is one of the best options if you want views of Es Vedrà. The most practical way to get there is by car or motorbike. There is parking in the area, but it is best to arrive with some extra time due to demand and the movement around the nearby viewpoints.
Cala Salada y Cala Saladeta
Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta have regulated access during the season, so it is not always advisable to go directly by car. From San Antonio, there may be a bus or boat depending on the dates. Check the situation before setting off.
Benirràs
Benirràs is well known for its atmosphere and sunsets. It is reached by road and may have a bus connection during the season. Parking is limited and in high demand, especially on busier days.
TIPS FOR PARKING IN IBIZA IN SUMMER
In summer, parking in Ibiza requires a little more strategy, especially at famous beaches, central areas and sunset spots. It is not impossible, but the busiest times can make you waste quite a lot of time if you arrive without any margin.
The best option is to leave early if you are going to a popular cove, allow extra time if you have dinner in a busy area and avoid arriving too late for the best-known sunsets. Before leaving your car, always check the signs, as some areas may have restrictions or regulations depending on the season.
If you prefer to avoid driving or worrying about parking for specific plans, you can consider our private transfer in Ibiza, especially for arrivals, dinners, beaches with difficult parking or journeys where you want to travel more comfortably.

FROM A COMFORTABLE BASE IN SAN ANTONIO
If your idea is to explore Ibiza by car, staying in a practical area can help you a lot. San Antonio allows you to combine western beaches, routes to other parts of the island, dinners, the port, the seafront promenade and sunsets without always depending on the car for everything.
Hostal Rosell Boutique, in the centre of San Antonio, is especially well suited to those who want to discover Ibiza freely while also having a comfortable base to return to after a day on the road. From here, you can organise excursions, move around different areas of the island and enjoy San Antonio on foot whenever you prefer to leave the car parked.
