HOW TO MOVE AROUND IBIZA

Getting around Ibiza can be very easy? or very frustrating, if you don't know how to organize it. Here are our recommendations for you to arrive without hassle from the airport and explore the island comfortably.

✈️ TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOSTEL

The airport is about 20-25 km from our hostel and there are several options to get there:

Private transfer from Hostal Rosell

Fixed price, 35 € from the airport to the hostel.

It is easily booked in advance and is waiting for you at the airport.

Reservar / Book

Taxi

Approximate variable price: between 35 and 45 € depending on time and traffic.

Warning: in high season (June-July-August) there may be long lines.

Public bus (Line L9)

This is the most economical option. Price: 4 € per person.

Departs approximately every hour (only in high season, from June to September). Estimated time: 45-50 minutes.

Rental car

The airport has many agencies, but it is best to book online before arriving.

Tip: choose a company with a “full/full” fuel policy and read the insurance conditions. We recommend the local company Turbo Rent a Car, for its good value for money, close attention and wide availability throughout the island.

Once settled in the hostel, these are the best ways to move around according to each day's plan:

The best prices are guaranteed, fixed and available for consultation, no surprises.

A fast, comfortable and safe way to get where you need to go.

It is booked in advance and is ideal if you are looking to avoid waiting, cabs or bus changes.

Public buses

They connect Sant Antoni with Ibiza town, Santa Eulalia and some beaches.

Inexpensive, although not very frequent outside the high season.

Tip: check opening times in advance or ask at reception.

Taxi

Can be useful for one-off journeys, although difficult to obtain in high season due to high demand.

Important: taxis do not go to many coves and beaches, so it is not the ideal option for exploring beaches.

Rental car

Best if you want to see hidden coves or inland villages.

Many towns have a blue zone: there is a fee and a time limit. Some beaches have paid parking and few parking spaces.

Tip: in summer, parking is difficult in popular areas.

Turbo Rent a Car

Discobus (summer)

It operates at night during the high season and connects the island's main nightclubs.

Perfect if you're going out partying without worrying about driving.

Price: between €3 and €4 each way.

It leaves from Sant Antoni several times a night.

Book in advance

Especially if you travel between June and August. Many restaurants, especially the best-rated ones or those on the seafront, fill up days before.

Particularly in beach restaurants. Some may have high prices that are not always commensurate with the quality.

Party in Ibiza: what you need to know

Ibiza is one of the world's most famous party destinations, but enjoying the best clubs and pool parties without overpaying requires a little planning. Here are the most important tips:

Buy in advance

Many festivals offer discounts if you buy your ticket in advance. At the box office, it is usually more expensive.

Reliable platforms

Check the official websites of clubs like Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza or Amnesia to get good prices.

Attention with the offers

In Sant Antoni and Playa d'en Bossa there are tickets with drink or discount. Check that they are official.

Practical tips for enjoying Ibiza's beaches

Ibiza's beaches are spectacular, but in high season they can also be a challenge if you don't take them into account. Here are our tips to make your beach day perfect:

Beaches with more affluence

The beaches closest to urban centres such as San Antonio, Ibiza town or Santa Eulalia tend to fill up very quickly, especially between 11:00 and 17:00.

If you are looking for more peace of mind

Try to go early or explore more remote and less accessible coves (we can give you some secret tips!).

Access and parking

Many car parks in beach areas have limited parking spaces and some are pay parking.

Example of beaches with paid parking: Ses Salines and Cala Bassa. Example of very restricted car parks or with controlled access: Cala Salada and Cala Benirràs.

Visiting Ibiza's street markets

Hippy and craft markets are an essential part of the Ibizan experience. Not only will you find unique products, but also live music and an atmosphere full of colour and good energy. But to make the most of them, it's important to bear in mind a few practical details

Days and times

Not all markets are open every day or have the same opening hours, as many depend on the season. To plan your visit, we recommend you consult our specific blog on flea markets.

Although many stalls accept cards, not all of them have a dataphone, especially the smaller ones or artisans.

Some markets are in areas somewhat distant from ATMs.
